2025 NETHERCUTT COLLECTION & LUNCH AT MIKE IZZO'S HOME.
July 26th 2025 took us to one of the nicest Car Collection in the world and then to a delicious and friendly lunch at Mike Izzo's home
We’ve all been to a car museum, and every time it’s a new experience. Some are small, some are huge, some are overcrowded, and some feel… empty. Some are dedicated to just one brand or one era, while others are eclectic, filled with vehicles from all years and from all over the world. But each of them has something that makes it different and unique.
Now, when someone with a massive fortune decides to create a museum to house their collection of super-rare cars, we’re stepping into another world. And that’s exactly what we did on Saturday, July 26th, when we visited the Nethercutt Collection, an unforgettable experience!
For lunch, most of us headed to Mike Izzo’s house, just a few miles from the museum. Mike had set up several tables in his backyard, each decorated with checkered flag tablecloths, copies of Journey with Olds magazines, and centerpieces made from Oldsmobile hubcaps. We enjoyed a generous spread of pasta, salads, pizza, and garlic beans, all very welcome after all the walking and sightseeing!A really nice Cherry Cake and brownies, made by Mike’s neighborg, brought a sweet taste and concluded our lunch. It was the perfect conclusion to an extraordinary outing. Huge thanks to Mike for organizing not only the museum tour, but also the delicious and thoughtful lunch!
